The Cost of Playing Big Man

Listen to this story

Read aloud by your device’s voice.

I can remember a time when I was the jack of the lads. Had a good hustle, kept it to myself, felt great buying all my mates a pint.

This happened for a while, until one day I had this great idea. Why not share some of my secrets with my pals? It wasn’t through sympathy; it was the cost of playing big man.

Here’s the best part, I wasn’t just saying money; the feeling of gratitude was priceless. Had to give up drinking in the end; I couldn’t handle all the free pints.

Have a nice day. Spread love.
